Beatitudes Campus, Phoenix, AZ

The campaign theme is often overlooked as a means of conveying the importance of a fund raising effort and advancing the image of the organization as a whole. Sometimes it’s just a throwaway. But not always.

Beatitudes Campus, a leading provider of affordable residential care for mature adults, needed a theme for their first-ever capital campaign. Penelope Cagney and the designer worked with the Campus to develop a concept. Referencing Tom Brokaw’s famed book, “The Greatest Generation,” the campaign theme reflects the Campus’ mission of care, looks back to its origin as a ministry in the United Church of Christ (the key symbol), acknowledges the current generation of residents, and looks forward to future generations to be served.

This theme (and the campaign, surpassing its $5,000,000 goal) has proven so successful that the Campus is adopting it for ongoing development efforts.
